Many Christmas customs that are being practiced from across around the world now were all began in Germany.
This has long been considered that Martin Luther started the custom of taking in the fir tree inside the house. According to a myth, late one night, Martin Luther had been walking home in the woods and notices how beautiful the stars shone by the trees. He desired to allocate the beauty of his wife, and so he cut off the fir tree and then took it home. The moment that it was inside, Martin placed lighted, small candles on its branches and then uttered that this would become the symbol of the scenic Christmas sky. Then, the Christmas trees were born.
Another myth says that during the early sixteenth century, the citizens in Germany merge the two traditions that were practiced in different states from around the world. A fir tree or the Paradise tree that had been decorated with apples symbolizes a Tree of Knowledge at Garden of Eden.

The Christmas Light is a pyramid-like, small frame, typically ornamented with glass balls, candle on top, and tinsel was the sign of Christ birth as the beam of the World. Altering the tree’s apples into cookies and tinsel balls and merging all of these new trees with the lights placed over it, the Germans made the tree that lots of know now.
Modern Christmas trees or Tannenbaum are traditionally ornamented in secret with the ornaments, lights, and tinsels by parents and will then lit it and revealed it on Christmas Eve together with the gifts, cookies, and nuts under the branches.
Germany is accredited with beginning the Christmas tree customs as we know now it in the sixteenth century, when the devout
Christians brought ornamented trees into their houses. Some built the Christmas pyramids of woods and ornamented them with candles and evergreens if the wood was scarce. It’s widely held belief wherein Martin Luther, a Protestant 16th-century reformer, initially added lighted candles into the tree. Walking to his house one winter night, composing the sermon, he was overcome by the brightness of stars twinkling among the evergreens. To recall the scenario for his family and Martin erected the tree in their main room and then wired its branches of their lighted candles.

Christmas Trees from Italy
In Italy, a presepio (crib or a manger) represents in the miniature of the Holy Family within the stable and has been the core of Christmas for the families. Guests are kneeling before it and the musicians sang before it. This presepio figures are normally hand-carved and were very detailed in dress and their features. The scene is usually set out within the form of a triangle. This gives the base of the pyramid-like structure named as ceppo. It is the wooden frame set to create the pyramid with several feet high. With several tiers of the thin shelves are being supported by the frame. It is totally ornamented with colored paper, miniature colored pennants and the gilt pine cones. The tiny candles are being fastened to its tapering sides. The small doll or a star is being hung at the peak of a triangular side. The shelves over the manger scenery had tiny gifts of candies, presents and fruits. The ceppo is inside the matured Tree of Light rituals which turned out to be the Christmas tree in some other states. Some houses even had the ceppo for every child in every family.
